Welcome to the Lošinj archipelago, to the small town of Veli Lošinj.

The island is situated in Quarnero Gulf, with 36 islands, islets and reefs. The island climate is pleasant all year around. Century old pine trees, olive trees, variety of plants and animal species are the distinctive features of the islands. Many bays, beaches are made up of rocks and pebbles. Numerous footpaths for beautiful landscape walks, trekking on marked paths. Each season brings different fragrance from the various plants. There are more than 1018 plants on the islands, such as: agave, Mexican cactus, palms, pines, olive trees, figs, citrus fruits, thymus, sage, asparagus, rosemary, laurel, eucalyptus. Exotic plants were brought to Lošinj by the Sailors from all over the world. The largest group of Bottlenose Dolphins (tursiops truncatus) in the Northern Adriatic live around Lošinj , this is an indicator of extremely clean sea.
